Lake Havasu was formed in
1938 when the Parker Dam was built and was Incorporated 1978.
The 2005 Population
was estimated at 55,000 and is located on the
Arizona shore of Lake Havasu
It is perhaps most famous for the London Bridge
bought by the area's founding father
Robert McCullough for
$2,460,000 after the city of London put it up
for auction in 1968.
It was dismantled and shipped to Lake Havasu
where it became a major
tourist attraction bringing thousands to the
city. He was a visionary
for his time and had a fleet
of ten airplanes
bringing in prospective
land
owners from across the United States.
